This place is great for what you pay. Inside is cool, the service was great. People from big cities don't get too many spots like this. I have ordered several items and liked them all. Drinks were always good and nice beer selection. I don't get back to Twin Falls any longer. But this spot was always good.

Salad bar--Meh Steak and baked potato were overpriced. I think it's a little old-school for the price you pay. They do have weekly specials, however, which is what brought a lot of people in. Service was good.

I have mixed feelings on this place. It's very dark/dim light. We have gotten seated in the same corner every visit and I seriously can barely read the menu. Salad bar is awesome!!!!! Food is actually very good. Over priced for this "old feeling place" Bar area is really fun. Fireplace/couches/out door area. Very rustic feeling.

I love this place! Love the atmosphere, the service, the food, and the drinks! I have been here multiple times and every time, they are awesome! They have been voted #1 in the Magic Valley for a reason!

Food was excellent. Had our rehearsal dinner in the banquet room. It was perfect. Service was good too. We had a group of 20 and I didn't hear a complaint from anyone and it looked like everyone finished what they ordered. My only complaint would be that the bread was at the salad bar...and I think they should bring it to the table...its not like there was more then one option. Especially for a group it would have been nice to have it brought to the table. But as far as complaints go...thats not a big deal to me. Would go back for sure!

The others come and go and the new trendy places are happy to charge you a lot for little but Stan and the Rock Creek have always provided excellent food, great service and a comfortable setting. Still the best.

Although a bit pricey, you will enjoy the cozy, smoke-free feel of Rock Creek, one of the older establishments in town, and a place to be seen for locals. You get a feel for Idaho with moose heads and trout mounted on the wall, without the scary redneck feel or the greasy food. The waitresses are attractive and graceful, donning long flowy skirts inspired by the local Basque culture. One of the best buys is the Combination Platter on the appetizer menu, which has pork and seeds (pork loin dipped in hot mustard and sesame seeds), smoked trout, manchego and smoked cheeses, garlic bread, and fresh fruit. Other items on the regular menu are pretty good, but can be over-priced as the proportions can be a bit on the small side.

If you want good food in Twin Falls, this is the place. It is definitely on the pricey side, but even more definitely worth it. The prime rib is a must have.

This place is OK. However, some of the menu items are very over-priced for the ambiance and overall feel of this place - it's very outdated and kinda dreary inside. Service is friendly though and the food is prepared well. Pretty basic - salmon, steaks, etc. Nothing special. But it's done well. I'd go back because I like simple foods sometimes. The salad bar was nice. Nothing fancy - just the bare-bones basics - but good and fresh, nonetheless. I ordered the salmon with broiled veggies. Yup - that's what I got. It was A-OK. Decent portion sizes. I left feeling like I'd eaten enough. But again - a touch over priced and decor is very outdated inside. The have great specials that make the pricing more tolerable. We did the early-bird dinner, so I felt good about the price I paid for my meal. But regular pricing would've almost doubled my bill - and then I may have given this place a 2-star rating...

My husband and I tried this restaurant last Thursday night for the first time. We had high expectations based on recommendations from friends. The prices are high. We ordered seared Ahi for our appetizer. It looked like someone had taken a chainsaw to it. It was a strange mangled mess-not to mention it was very LIGHTLY seared and had no seasoned crust. Bummer. I love Ahi. Both of our dinners were cold. My Salmon was seasoned and grilled nicely, but the temperature of it and my baked potato were lacking. My husband had some weird looking piece of cold meat on his plate. It was supposed to be Prime Rib. I don't eat Prime Rib, but even I could tell something was very strange with it. He's got a pretty tough stomach and managed to put it back. It probably should have been returned to the kitchen. Our waitress was very nice and kept my soda full. We don't feel the need to return.

This is high priced for what you get . It was $30 for a steak . They don't bring you a salad . But you go thru a line like in the local buffet and make your own . The steak was nicely cooked . But the potato was cold . The service was horrible . We had to remind the server to bring our drinks . And were never checked on . This seems to be common as many people had to chase down someone to get their check or a box for leftovers . I most likely wont go back .

This is my favorite steak house in Twin Falls. It is also the best place to get seafood. Fresh seafood each week, check the specials. We enjoy the prime rib, the salmon, the steamer clams and the hamburgers are good too. They have a decent wine selection too. My husband and I eat here often. He can't have gluten and has great luck here.

This is a superb eating establishment, excellent steak and soup, great staff, owner is present and attentive.

We were so disappointed. My bf got the prime rib and I had the ribeye. We both had to douse our meat with A1. The salad plates are too small and the salad bar doesn't have many choices. The brown rice tasted funny and was under cooked. We definitely will not return. The steak at Golden Corral is much better. It doesn't need steak sauce. The service was good and so were the french fries. They were on the crispy side. Just the way I like them. They were given as a replacement for the rice.

I wasn't impressed. The soup was not edible and the salad bar mediocre. My server was nice when I saw her, but that wasn't very often. I dreaded receiving my entree but was presently surprised my lamb chop was cooked correctly and the steamed veggies actually had some flavor. It might be worth a second try.

We stayed at a lovely B&B in Twin Falls and the owners recommended this place. We thought that it would be pretty good since the parking lot was packed. Looks can be deceiving. Everything about this place was mediocre. The trout I had wasn't well seasoned and my partner's steak could've used more seasoning as well. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was pretty good, but that's the only thing on the menu that I'd recommend. Although the salad bar is a terrific idea, the way they had the tables packed together made it difficult to maneuver when it was so crowded. I think people getting up and going back and forth to the salad bar added to a chaotic environment. One of my pet peeves is tables that are nailed to the booth or floor. The other pet peeve is chairs with arms. Thankfully the tables could be moved to make for a more pleasant dining experience, but those of us with generous hips don't like feeling wedged into a seat. I spent the entire meal perched at the edge simply because they didn't have other seating options. That's my pet peeve and thankfully most dining establishments seem to take that in consideration since I rarely find places with seats like that. Will we be back? No. There are better places in Twin Falls. They won't miss my business since it's clear the locals like this place.

We went here for dinner tonight and it was a bit disappointing. For the price you pay it is not worth it. My wife ordered prime rib and what they brought was inedible. Obviously microwaved. They didn't end up charging us for it, but the fact that they even sent it out of the kitchen is enough that we will never go back. On top of that, the service was extremely slow (60+ minutes to get our main dishes) and the soda machine was broken. I don't know what the problem is with steakhouses in Twin Falls, but none of them are any good. Let me save you some time and money: if you're in Twin and you want red meat, go to Costco, buy some choice or prime rib eyes, and cook them yourself. No steakhouse in town is worth your money.

  • Dee P.

Awful! The service was good but that didn't make up for how horrible the food is. We had a large group and more than half of us had to send our food back to the kitchen for one reason or the other. The seafood was horrible, the chef does not know how to cook a scallop to save his life. And to top it off all the drinks were watered down. We will not be going back.

My husband and I have been to this restaurant many times. In fact it is our favorite place in Twin Falls. The decor is dated and the menu never changes but it is a very comfortable place with consistent good food and service. It also has one of the best wine cellars in town. All that being said I was very disappointed with our visit Saturday night. It was not particulary busy, especially for a weekend night but it appeared to be very short staffed. We waited at least a half an hour after finishing our salads for our entrees to appear and when they did my husband's steak was very undercooked (he ordered it medium rare and even the first few bites of meat were very red and translucent. It was also cold, maybe it had been left sitting as we were not so patiently waiting. The waitress was very gracious when she asked how everything was at the end of the meal (it was the first time we saw anyone since our entrees came) and we told her about our dissapointment with the steak. She offered to comp us with a dessert and even comped my husband with another glass of wine.

Steak was cooked perfectly for each guest and very good flavor. Prime rib was slightly over cooked (Sunday). Good soup and two kinds of bread. Salad bar was basic but well done. Good baked potato but brown rice was blah. Didn't try dessert but looked good. Is this a Morton's, no, but much better than sizzler, outback, or lone star. When I go to a steak house, I want a really good steak, the rest doesn't matter too much. In that since, this place doesn't disappoint. Atmosphere is old west rustic but comfortable.

Food was really quite good and reasonably priced for steak and salad bar. A little dark and dated, but food and service make up for it.

Great steaks and prime rib. Fresh fish, some even local. We've been here twice. First was on our honeymoon and we decided to come back for more. Great service, great food, reasonable prices!

One thing I like about the Rock Creek is the consistency. They have been doing a great job for many years. And everytime you visit they do the same great job. If you have never tried their Steak and Bits Appetizer you need to...probably one of the top 20 appetizers I have ever had. Drinks are good and reasonably priced.
